The Board of Management is responsible for the governance of Stow College. The Board sets the strategic direction of the College and ensures that the College provides suitable and efficient teaching and learning to its students. The Board consists of a maximum of 16 members including the Chief Executive & Principal, two staff representatives elected by the teaching and support staff and a student representative. The remainder of the Board is made up of people with extensive business and training expertise within both the public and private sectors. Members of the Board serve on a voluntary basis, without remuneration, and are appointed for a term of office not exceeding four years. A member may be reappointed for a further term. All Board members have agreed to a Code of Conduct and as part of this are required to declare all potentially relevant interests. In addition to our legal duties, all members of the Board take an active interest in the work of the College and attend many events throughout the academic year, not least our Graduation Ceremony where we celebrate our student’s achievements.
